International Symposium of Computer Science in Sports Now to Russia: I-FORS among the Participants
July 11, 2019 This year was the first time Russia hosted IACSS 2019. The 12th Forum was held in Moscow between July 8 and 10 July with two venues: Marchuk Institute of Numerical Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Moscow Center of Advanced Sports Technologies.
Participation in the Symposium required both theoretical and applied materials related to the field of computer science in sports. The main focus was on data analysis, modeling and simulation, virtual reality, robotics, machine learning and visualization, decision support, biomechanics, rehabilitation, sports management and others.
The agenda included presentations by invited lecturers, renowned experts from the leading scientific and educational institutions of the world. The 13 sessions of the forum were devoted to the most pressing issues at the intersection of medicine and sports, sports and IT, theory and practice.
Anton Ilyin, Project Manager of the Department of Integrated Design of Information Systems at i-FORS, presented his report on “Information System for Operational Planning of Training Loads, Rehabilitation And Medical Control In Cyclic Sports” at the 10th session “Sports Apps” .
The app developed by I-FORS ensures efficient management of sports organizations, athletes’ health monitoring, control of rehabilitation and recovery process after injuries, as well as psychological tests. The system is equipped with multifunctional analytical tools for drawing charts, tables and diagrams, which enables data visualization and work with them. The speaker noted that the platform is a completely ready-to-use product, allowing it to be integrated into large integration systems at the national level, using the most advanced methods of training athletes in cyclic sports.
